Payload Mechanical Engineer Position Description Tandel Systems has extensive experience developing real-time aerospace and defense systems. We have the project management skills and the systems engineering capability to work with our customers to deliver fully tested real-time hardware/software capability for defense, space and civil aviation systems. We also have extensive experience with flight test systems development, independent verification and validation, and legacy systems upgrades. Tandel Systems is working with its customer to develop a Payload Mechanical Engineer. Lead payload system engineering on space-based radar payloads for national security programs. Work entails end-to-end requirements flow down and analysis, payload subsystem engineering, modeling and performance analysis, and RF system design. Will work and interact with multi-discipline product teams across programs, as well as external customers and suppliers. Evaluate and develop the requirements to mechanically configure the Payload Bay hardware, handling and installation of payloads into the flight vehicle. Generate the necessary work instructions and oversee the process. Engr Knowledge & Comprehension Advanced knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables. Modeling and Simulation Expert knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C++, Matlab, Visual Basic, C, Assembly, C#, Java). Expert knowledge of modeling and prototyping tools (e.g., Matlab, MathCAD, manufacturer specific tools for signal processing software). Expert knowledge of computing equipment and its operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, Linux). Expert knowledge of software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage.Systems Design Engr Principles Advanced, expert knowledge of systems design and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex systems and sub-systems.Tech Verification/Validation Candidate selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for a DOD Secret Clearance.
